We bought these 2 stools unfinished about a decade ago while we were living in NC, newly married. Along the way we stained them with a glossy cherry gel stain, but now we have little use for them in this house. We have no bar! I decided to try out a new refinishing technique on them and try to sell them. What do you think?
I used a dark gray under a light blue-gray, using a chipping and roughing technique. They're sealed and buffed to a smooth, lovely shine.
It's hard to capture the actual color - the camera keeps correcting it more blue! But they're very gray.
