Sleeping Babes

I'm almost afraid I'll jinx it by writing this post, so I'll type softly.  Olivia's been sleeping 8 to 9 hours at night and 3 to 4 hours for morning nap time.  It's not like I'm putting her down for a nap and making her stay down.  I'm waiting expectantly for her to wake and she just keeps sleeping.  I was worried for my milk supply and her weight because she was feeding far less times a day than the Babywise book said she should at this age.  But she's still growing and gaining weight, so we've decided to just go with the flow for now, instead of waking her to feed.

It's indeed a blessing to have two wonderful sleepers - I get time in the morning to shower, pick up around the house, do a load of cloth diapers and write blog posts.  Autumn sleeps 2 to 3 hours in the afternoon and Olivia usually gets around 2 hours in as well, so there's another space of time for me to slow down and enjoy my day.  I've been given a book about asking what God is trying to say in his love letters (the Bible), and I'm just getting into it.

I realize I haven't been reading Scripture during these crazy first months, and I never really did before consistently.  That just shows how important it is - or isn't - to me.  I've put having a clean house and healthy dinner before reading the Word.  That's got to change.  And with all this free time and these sleeping babies, now is the time to start a new habit!
