Pioneer Doll

My friend wanted to give her daughter a personalized fabric doll for her first birthday, but the handmade ones on Etsy and the like are far too pricey.  So we decided I'd try my hand making one.
Her yarn hair color and embroidered eye color match my friend's daughter's features.
But that hair's starting to fray at the bottom - good thing it only takes a couple of hours to sew new hair on if we ever want to change it.
Here's a view of the back of the doll's apron.
The doll's clothing is based on a Little House on the Prairie style because my friend adores that old country look.  It epitomizes girly-ness, doesn't it?
The doll even has a contrasting floral lining under her apron, lace trim on her dress, petticoats, and laced wool felt boots.  Hope this sweet little girl likes her doll! :)

I kinda sorta love it. You do good work! I like all the little details like the laces on the boots and her little bloomers. Too precious.
