We took a vacation to South Padre Island, TX, for the last 5 days. We got back yesterday.
The temperature was around 90, but the breezes off the gulf made it feel more like 80-something ... which for you non-Texans is like 70.
Jason made a drip castle one day on the beach, and though I spent only a fraction of the time in the sun that he did, I think I burned a little worse. Must be the pregnancy.
I then acquired the finest fat feet you ever did see. Perhaps this was my punishment for eating fried seafood, perhaps for getting sunburned, perhaps from being pregnant and traveling in the car. Anyways, my feet giggle when I walk. Ew.
Today is closing day on the house! I'm hoping my sunburn and swollen feet will be alleviated so I can do some cleaning and minor moving before the big moving day Saturday. I'll get some photos of the house up here soon as I can - you know, "before" pics. :) I can't wait to start a project or two there!
Your vacation sounds wonderful! So glad you had a chance to get away before the baby arrives. Definitely praying for your move and the arrival of your little one. Can't wait to see your new home and what projects you'll create there. :)
